🏗️ Permanent World — No Scheduled Resets
We're building one long-term survival world rather than starting over every season. Player builds and community projects have the opportunity to become permanent parts of the server's history.

⚙️ Vanilla-First & Technical Friendly
The SMP runs on Paper for performance and stability, but preserving vanilla mechanics and redstone behavior is a priority. TNT duplication and bedrock breaking are enabled, and technical Minecraft builds are welcome.

💎 Real Player-Driven Economy
There is no virtual currency and no admin shop. Trade happens using actual Minecraft items through player trading and player-operated shops. Players determine prices through supply, demand, production, and trade.

🗳️ Marketplace Access Through Voting
Operating a shop in our organized marketplace is earned through voting—not purchased through the webstore. Voting also provides rewards and access to the VoteShop.

🛡️ Land & Build Protection
GriefDefender allows players to claim and protect their builds while still being able to trust friends and collaborate. CoreProtect gives staff the tools needed to investigate and roll back grief when necessary.

🧪 Dedicated Testing Servers
Eligible players have access to separate Paper and Fabric Creative Multiplayer servers for designing and testing builds. Our Paper CMP mirrors the relevant SMP configuration, while the Fabric CMP provides Carpet for additional technical Minecraft testing.

🤝 Community Focused
Community builds, infrastructure, games, events, competitions, shops, and technical projects are all encouraged. Because the world isn't routinely wiped, today's projects can become tomorrow's landmarks.

🖥️ Built for the Long Term

Sticks & Stones is independently hosted and owner operated in the United States on dedicated hardware rather than a shared Minecraft hosting plan.

The server runs on an Intel Core i7-13700K, 32 GB RAM, and a Samsung 980 PRO NVMe SSD, with backups stored on a separate Samsung T7 SSD.

The host uses a fiber-optic internet connection, automated backups, and CyberPower UPS protection with automated shutdown handling during extended power outages.

For a server built around a permanent world, protecting that world and its player data is a priority.
